 This cupcakes tower was ordered by Anis of Desa Harmoni, Kluang for her wedding reception on 17 April 2012.

A fusion of traditional Minang and modern wedding ceremony

 The complete set of the wedding cake and cupcakes. This set comprised a 10"x10" and a 7"x7" fondant cake and 50 pieces of cupcakes.

 

 The wedding cakes was decorated with sugar paste Calla Lily and fleur de lis motifs on the cakes.

 A traditional fruits and flowers offering that is authentically Minang tradition. This offering was made by a type of palm leaves called 'palas' and various fruits and flowers. This ensembles were made by the bride's relatives from Bukit Tinggi, Indonesia.

The fruit and flowers offerings were put at both sides of the dais.

My cousin's wedding on 4 March 2012

We have been very busy since Chinese New Year to prepare 'hantaran' and the wedding reception of my most cherished cousin Badrulhisam Abd. Hamid. The solemnisation ceremony and reception on the bride side were held in Spg. Renggam on 5 February 2012 while the groom's side wedding reception was held on 4 March 2012. Below are the pictures of both receptions.

The wedding cake that we sponsored. This wedding cake consists of an 11" moist chocolate cake, 9" & 5" red velvet cake.

We design a dais just for the groom. The flower on the dais background was made of satin, foam and crepe paper; and there are all handmade!

'Bersanding' ceremony on bride side.

The groom was paraded together with his relatives (which meant 'us') and the 'hantaran' towards the bride's house. There was 'kompang' group chanting the 'selawat' (praise to the Prophet Muhammad) who followed us all the way from the 'bersanggar' house or a neighbour house which was selected to be the groom's resting and preparation place.

The 'dowry' was arranged beautifully for the bride.

Budget wedding cake

This cake and cupcakes set was ordered by Ina of Tmn Intan for her brother's wedding reception. This ensembles cost only RM140. The set consists of 9" round cake and 40 pcs of cupcakes.

This wedding cake was ordered by Uda of Taman Bersatu Flat. This ensemble cost RM 90 only; consists of 8" and 5" round butter cream cakes.
