Chocolate Fondant Wedding Cake

This wedding cake was ordered by Noorhidayah Thalib of Tmn Intan for her wedding on 2 July 2011. The wedding cake consists of 13" steamed fruit cake which was made by her mother, 9" moist chocolate cake and 6" carrot cake topped with cream cheese frosting. The cakes were covered with chocolate fondant and decorated with fresh flowers. The bride specifically asked for a bright coloured wedding cake theme, so this is the results.

There were many challenges we faced during the preparation of this cake. One of them was searching for bright coloured fresh flowers! In Kluang, there were not many florists that offer bright colour flowers. Most of them are pastels and we couldn't get more from a supplier from Cameron Highland. In the end, we have to make do with whatever we have.
